Agreed Changes to the FITASC Sporting
Rules Effective 1 Jan 2008
Rule 9.14 (Weapons and Ammunition)
Change to read: The cartridge shot load must not exceed 28 grams + 2% (28.56 grams maximum). The shot will be SPHERICAL and of a diameter between 2.0 and 2.5 mm plus or minus 5%.
Rule 4.2.6 (Double on Report)
Change to read: In a double when the second target is irregular a NO TARGET shall be declared and the double must be attempted again, but the result of the first SHOT will be scored not the Target. The double will be repeated to obtain the result of the second SHOT ONLY. (If both targets are broken with the second shot the score will be One and One) 5.3
Rule 5.3 (Double on Report Declared)
Change to read: When a shooter fires both shots at the first target the result will be scored and the second target of the double declared zero, however,
Should the first or second shot break both of the targets the result shall be scored One, One.
Rule 8.11 (Organisation of Competitions)
Change to read: Only targets previously shot at on that Stand/Position old system or new system may be utilised in the double(s), presented at that stand or position.
Rule 10.17 (Safety Glasses)
Change to read: Safety glasses are obligatory for all competitors, referees, officials, maintenance staff and visitors within the confines of the shooting arena. Any competitor without safety glasses will be considered absent and rule 8.13 and 10.7 will apply
Rule 13.2 (shoot offs)
Change to read: Shoot-offs for the first three places (Individual National teams) will take place in a round of 25 targets. If a result has not been established, the shooters will shoot a second "Zero Eliminator" (sudden death)
round, i.e. the first target on which the scores differ, the shooter with THE FIRST ZERO will be eliminated, until only the winner remains. Other shooters with the same score will be shown as "equal".
However, doubles on report shall be considered as a unit of two targets and without any order regarding a lost target, i.e. targets scored hit and lost, lost and hit will be considered equal.
